How much does an AI video ad cost in the US?
A short AI or UGC-style video ad can cost a few dollars or several thousand. Here is what each option charges, taken from public price pages, and what you actually get for the money.
By Rhinehart Studio · Prices checked on public pages on November 3, 2026 · Prices change often, so treat these as a snapshot, not a quote. We sell AI video ads ourselves: see how we compare near the end.
The short answer
There are four main ways to get short vertical video ads for Meta, TikTok or YouTube Shorts. Here is what each one cost on public price pages on November 3, 2026:
| Option | Published price | What you still do |
|---|---|---|
| Self-serve AI ad tool | Free plans exist. Paid plans started at about $15–$39 a month, with higher tiers up to $999 a month | Write the scripts, build and check every ad, export the formats |
| Marketplace freelancer (Fiverr, Upwork) | Fiverr AI UGC ad gigs from about $5–$45. Upwork’s own guide: $50–$440 for a single UGC video, $200–$1,375 for 3–5 | Write the brief, check the work, agree usage rights and revisions |
| AI ad agency or UGC platform | AI ad monthly plans: $497–$6,200 a month, or roughly $80–$140 per ad. Real-creator UGC platform: from $99 per video | Approve scripts and drafts |
| Rhinehart Studio AI Ad Studio | $449 for 5 ads (about $90 each), or $1,650 a month for 20 and $3,950 a month for 50 (about $79–$83 each) | Approve scripts, upload the ads and run your campaigns |
The rest of this guide explains each option, what pushes the price up and what to ask before you pay.
Freelancers: per-ad and hourly rates
Upwork’s own UGC creator hiring guide (worldwide data) says UGC creators there generally cost $25–$55 an hour. It gives typical project ranges of $50–$440 for a single UGC video, $200–$1,375 for a package of 3–5 videos with alternate hooks, $375–$2,200 for a monthly content retainer and $625–$3,300 for a full ad creative campaign with paid-media usage rights.
Fiverr blocked our direct check of its pages, so we can only report what its AI UGC ads search page shows in search results: about 6,700 services, with gigs listed “From $5” up to “From $180”, and most between $5 and $45. Indexed gig packages included one video of up to 15 seconds with 3-month usage rights for $25, and one video with one revision and 3-month usage rights for $50. Starting prices usually cover the smallest package, so check length, revisions and how long you may use the ad.
Watch the usage rights. Some low-priced gigs include only a few months of use, and paid-ad use can cost extra. Ask for a price per finished ad that you can run as a paid ad for as long as you need.
Agencies and UGC platforms: monthly plans
AI ad agencies usually sell a fixed number of ads a month. Published examples on November 3, 2026:
- BrandCom Digital (AI Studio): $497 a month for 4 AI UGC video ads (about $124 each), $997 for 12 (about $83 each) and $2,497 for 30 (about $83 each).
- Ad Lantern: a 5-ad pilot for $600, then $1,680 a month for 12 ads, $4,100 for 30 and $6,200 for 45 or more (roughly $137–$140 each).
- Billo, a platform for real-creator UGC: videos from $99 each, with longer videos, premium creators and extra hooks costing more. Its managed service starts at $2,000 a month.
- At the top end, Admiral Media, a performance agency, sells AI UGC ads in batches priced in euros: €10,000 for 20 ads (€500 each) up to €29,000 for 80 (€363 each).
Higher prices often pay for more than the video: creative strategy, competitor research, real creators, media buying or reporting. If you only need ads to test, you may be paying for extras you don’t use.
Self-serve AI ad tools: subscriptions
Self-serve tools can generate AI presenters, product scenes and captions. Prices below are the US-dollar list prices.
| Tool | Published price (November 3, 2026) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Creatify | Free plan (10 credits a month, up to 2 watermarked video ads). Standard $15 a month ($10 a month billed yearly, 55 credits), Pro $55 ($38 yearly), Max $95 ($66 yearly), Business $195 ($136 yearly) | Its pricing page says 55 credits make about 7 five-second Seedance 2.0 videos or 11 fifteen-second avatar videos. Credits expire after 2 months. Its done-for-you Studio service has no published price |
| HeyGen | Free (3 watermarked videos a month, up to 1 minute). Creator $29 a month ($24 billed yearly), Pro $49 a month, Business $149 a month plus $20 per extra seat. Enterprise is quoted | AI avatar and presenter videos. You write the script and build the ad |
| AdCreative.ai | Starter $39 a month (20 credits, 1 brand), Professional $249 a month, Ultimate $999 a month (monthly billing; quarterly and yearly billing were listed cheaper) | Ad images plus UGC-style and product videos from credits |
| Arcads | No public price. Its help centre lists credit plans (Starter 8,000 credits up to Business 192,000, yearly billing 20% off) and says prices are shown in the app | Its help centre says one talking-actor video uses 800 credits. We did not sign up, so we can’t give a price |
| Canva | Free plan, plus paid Pro and Business plans. Canva shows prices for your location, and from outside the US we could not load its US-dollar price, so check its pricing page | A design tool rather than an ad generator. Its paid plans list “ad insights and AI ad creation” |
A tool is the cheapest option if you have the time and an eye for ads. The cost is your time: writing hooks, regenerating shots until the product looks right, fixing captions and exporting each format.
What pushes the price up
- Real people: filming a real creator or actor costs more than AI, and the product often has to be shipped to them.
- Length and formats: 30–60 second ads and extra sizes (9:16, 1:1, 4:5) cost more than one 15-second vertical cut.
- Hooks and variations: extra opening hooks for testing are often priced per hook.
- Usage rights: paid-media rights and whitelisting cost more than short or organic-only rights.
- Strategy and media buying: research, scripting and running the campaigns are often separate, pricier services.
- Turnaround and revisions: rush jobs and extra revision rounds cost more.
What to ask before you pay
- What is the price per finished ad, including sales tax and any platform fees?
- How long can I run the ad as a paid ad, and on which platforms?
- How many hooks, formats and revisions are included, and how fast is delivery?
- Will my real product appear accurately, without being reshaped by the AI?
- Will any AI presenter be shown as a real customer, expert or reviewer? (It shouldn’t be.)
- Is it a one-off price, or a subscription that renews automatically? How do I cancel?
- Who checks the claims in the script? Under the FTC Act, you need evidence for claims before the ad runs.
US notes: FTC rules for AI and UGC-style ads
Truthful, substantiated claims. Ads must be truthful and not misleading, and you need evidence for claims before they run, whether a person or an AI says them (FTC: truth in advertising).
No fake reviews or testimonials. The FTC’s Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule (16 CFR Part 465) bans fake reviews and testimonials, including AI-generated ones from people who don’t exist or never used the product (FTC: rule Q&A). A UGC-style AI ad must not pose as a real customer.
Disclose material connections. If a real creator is paid, gets free product or has another material connection to you, the FTC Endorsement Guides expect a clear disclosure in the video itself (FTC: Endorsement Guides Q&A). Meta, TikTok and YouTube also have their own labels for realistic AI content. Our guides to FTC rules for influencer ads, reviews and “Made in USA” claims and UK and US rules for AI-generated ads cover this in more detail.
How AI Ad Studio compares
AI Ad Studio is our own service, so weigh this section accordingly. Prices are fixed and published on the AI Ad Studio (US) page:
- Free preview, $0: one watermarked 14-second ad of your product. No card needed.
- 5-Ad Pack, $449 one-off: 5 finished ads of 15–30 seconds (about $90 each), 3 hook variants of the best one and 1 revision round, delivered within 7 working days of script approval.
- Monthly plans: Growth $1,650 a month for 20 ads with 2 revision rounds (about $83 each) and Scale $3,950 a month for 50 ads across multiple products, with static image variants (about $79 each). Plans renew automatically each month until you cancel, and you can cancel any time before the next billing date.
- How they’re made: AI-generated shots plus your real product images and logo, captions and licensed or original music. Every ad is labeled as AI-generated, we only use claims you supply and can back up, and we never imitate real people or write fake testimonials.
What it doesn’t do: we don’t film real creators, run or manage your ad accounts, or buy media. Ad spend is paid by you directly to the platforms. On price per ad we are in the middle of the range: marketplace gigs are cheaper per ad, and a self-serve tool is cheaper still if you do the work yourself. We can’t promise sales, clicks or ROAS.
Quick checklist before you buy
- Compare price per finished, ready-to-upload ad
- Check sales tax, fees and auto-renewal terms
- Confirm paid-media usage rights and how long they last
- Know how many hooks, formats and revisions you get
- No AI person poses as a real customer or reviewer
- Every claim in the script is backed by evidence
FAQ
How much does one AI video ad cost in the US?
On public price pages checked on November 3, 2026, Fiverr AI UGC ad gigs started at about $5–$45, Upwork’s own guide put a single UGC video at $50–$440, and AI ad agency monthly plans worked out at roughly $80–$140 per ad. What each price includes varies a lot, so compare the price per finished, ready-to-upload ad.
Is an AI ad tool cheaper than hiring someone?
In subscription terms, usually yes: paid plans we checked started at $15–$39 a month, and some tools have free plans. But you still write the scripts, check every shot, add captions and export each format yourself, so count your own time.
Can I use an AI avatar as a customer testimonial?
No. The FTC’s Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule (16 CFR Part 465) bans fake reviews and testimonials, including AI-generated ones from people who don’t exist or never used the product. An AI presenter can explain your product, but it must not pose as a real customer.
Do these prices include sales tax?
Not always. Many tools and agencies add any sales tax that applies at checkout. Ask whether a quote includes tax and platform fees.
How much does AI Ad Studio cost in the US?
