Freelancers: per-ad and hourly rates

PeoplePerHour is UK-based and shows prices in pounds. On its UGC video freelancers page on 3 November 2026, fixed-price offers for AI UGC video ads ran from £15 to £70, and one offer for 3 AI-avatar ad variations for A/B testing was £130. Offers with a real person on camera were higher: £75 for a British UGC video and £100–£120 for a spokesperson video. On its UGC content page, offers ran from about £10 to £120, and the hourly-rate filter counted 757 freelancers under £10 an hour, 1,956 at £10–£30, 560 at £30–£50 and 383 over £50.

Fiverr blocked our direct check of its pages, so we can only report what its AI UGC ads search page shows in search results: about 6,700 services, with gigs listed “From $5” up to “From $180”, and most between $5 and $45. Indexed gig packages included one video of up to 15 seconds with 3-month usage rights for $25, and one video with one revision and 3-month usage rights for $50. Fiverr prices are shown in US dollars by default. Starting prices usually cover the smallest package, so check length, revisions and how long you may use the ad.

Upwork’s own UGC creator hiring guide (worldwide data, US dollars) says UGC creators there generally cost $25–$55 an hour. It gives typical project ranges of $50–$440 for a single UGC video, $200–$1,375 for a package of 3–5 videos with alternate hooks, $375–$2,200 for a monthly content retainer and $625–$3,300 for a full ad creative campaign.

Watch the usage rights. Some low-priced gigs include only a few months of use, and paid-ad use can cost extra. Ask for a price per finished ad that you can run as a paid ad for as long as you need.

UK agencies and studios: per-ad and package prices

AI ad studios (published prices on 3 November 2026):

  • Front Step Digital: £90 for 1 AI video ad, £240 for 3 ads with different hooks and £450 for 5, plus extra hooks at £25 each. A monthly retainer of 8 videos is £600 a month. It says every presenter, voice and scene is AI-generated.
  • Cranberry Marketing (Hertfordshire): AI social media ads from £450 per 15–30 second video, AI presenter videos from £600 and ecommerce product videos from £150 per product.
  • Prime AI Media (London): social ads from £400 and its mid tier from £950.
  • Advertising IQ: human-directed AI productions from £1,500 for 10 seconds, £2,500 for 30 seconds and £4,000 for 60 seconds.

UGC agencies with real creators, for comparison:

  • Fluencers Group: £1,440 + VAT for 10 videos (£144 each), down to £7,200 + VAT for 100 (£72 each), with full usage rights.
  • Velena Lifestyle: paid-ads UGC from £155 a video (Basic), £230 (Standard) and £355 (Premium), or £620 for 3, with 12-month advert rights.
  • Viral UGC: packages at £199 (one ad-ready video in 72 hours), £499 and £799. Its own guide puts direct UK creator rates at £80–£350 a video and agency production at £150–£600.

At the top end, Admiral Media, a performance agency, sells AI UGC ads in batches priced in euros: €10,000 for 20 ads (€500 each) up to €29,000 for 80 (€363 each).

Higher prices often pay for more than the video: creative strategy, competitor research, scripting, real actors, media buying or reporting. If you only need ads to test, you may be paying for extras you don’t use.

Self-serve AI ad tools: subscriptions

Self-serve tools can generate AI presenters, product scenes and captions. Most list prices in US dollars. A UK checkout may show pounds and add VAT.

CanvaFree. Pro £100 a year for one person, Business £180 a year per person (yearly prices on the UK page)A design tool rather than an ad generator. Its paid plans list “ad insights and AI ad creation”

A tool is the cheapest option if you have the time and an eye for ads. The cost is your time: writing hooks, regenerating shots until the product looks right, fixing captions and exporting each format.

What pushes the price up

  • Real people: filming a real creator or actor costs more than AI, and the product often has to be posted to them.
  • Length and formats: 30–60 second ads and extra sizes (9:16, 1:1, 4:5) cost more than one 15-second vertical cut.
  • Hooks and variations: extra opening hooks for testing are often priced per hook.
  • Usage rights: paid-ad rights for 12 months or longer cost more than 3-month or organic-only rights.
  • Strategy and media buying: research, scripting and running the campaigns are often separate, pricier services.
  • Turnaround and revisions: rush jobs and extra revision rounds cost more.

What to ask before you pay

  • What is the price per finished ad, including VAT and any platform fees?
  • How long can I run the ad as a paid ad, and on which platforms?
  • How many hooks, formats and revisions are included, and how fast is delivery?
  • Will my real product appear accurately, without being reshaped by the AI?
  • Will the ad be labelled as AI-generated where needed, and will any AI presenter be shown as a real customer? (It shouldn’t be.)
  • Is it a one-off price, or a subscription that renews automatically? How do I cancel?
  • Who checks the claims in the script? You should only make claims you can back up.

UK notes: AI ads and the CAP Code

The ASA applies the same CAP Code rules to AI-made ads as to any other ad: they must not mislead, and an AI-generated image must not exaggerate what a product does or looks like. A disclosure label won’t save an ad that misleads (ASA: disclosure of AI in advertising). Never present an AI person as a real customer giving a review. Our guides to labelling AI-generated ads in the UK and UK and US rules for AI-generated ads cover this in more detail, and our vertical video ad specs guide covers sizes and safe areas.

How AI Ad Studio compares

AI Ad Studio is our own service, so weigh this section accordingly. Prices are fixed and published on the AI Ad Studio page:

  • Free preview, £0: one watermarked 14-second ad of your product. No card needed.
  • 5-Ad Pack, £349 one-off: 5 finished ads of 15–30 seconds (about £70 each), 3 hook variants of the best one and 1 revision round, delivered within 7 working days of script approval.
  • Monthly plans: Starter £549 a month for 8 ads (about £69 each), Growth £1,250 for 20 ads with 2 revision rounds (£62.50 each) and Scale £2,950 for 50 ads across multiple products, with static image variants (£59 each). Plans renew monthly until you cancel, and you can cancel any time before the next billing date.
  • How they’re made: AI-generated shots plus your real product images and logo, captions and licensed or original music. Every ad is labelled as AI-generated, and we never imitate real people or write fake testimonials.

What it doesn’t do: we don’t film real creators, run or manage your ad accounts, or buy media. Ad spend is paid by you directly to the platforms. On price per ad we are in the middle of the range: marketplace gigs and some AI studios are cheaper per ad, and a self-serve tool is cheaper still if you do the work yourself. We can’t promise sales, clicks or ROAS.

Quick checklist before you buy

  • Compare price per finished, ready-to-upload ad
  • Check VAT, fees and auto-renewal terms
  • Confirm paid-ad usage rights and how long they last
  • Know how many hooks, formats and revisions you get
  • AI ads are labelled, and no AI person poses as a customer
  • Every claim in the script is one you can back up

FAQ

How much does one AI video ad cost in the UK?

On public price pages checked on 3 November 2026, marketplace AI UGC ad offers started at about £15–£70 on PeoplePerHour, UK AI ad studios charged about £80–£450 per short ad, and fully human-directed AI productions started at £1,500. What each price includes varies a lot, so compare the price per finished, ready-to-upload ad.

Is an AI ad tool cheaper than paying someone?

In subscription terms, usually yes: paid plans we checked started at $15–$39 a month, and some tools have free plans. But you still write the scripts, pick the shots, check the product looks right, add captions and export every format yourself, so count your own time.

Is AI video cheaper than real-person UGC?

Often, but not always. UK UGC packages with real creators were listed at about £72–£355 per video. AI ads skip filming and product shipping, but they need careful checking and clear labelling, and AI presenters must not be passed off as real customers.

Do UK prices include VAT?

Not always. Several UK agencies list prices plus VAT, and most AI tools list US-dollar prices and add tax at checkout. Ask whether a quote includes VAT.

How much does AI Ad Studio cost?

The 5-Ad Pack is £349 for 5 finished ads. Monthly plans are Starter £549 (8 ads), Growth £1,250 (20 ads) and Scale £2,950 (50 ads). Ad spend is not included, and any VAT that applies is shown before you pay. We don’t guarantee sales, clicks or ROAS.
