How it works
Order
Pay securely by Stripe. There's an optional field for your website or social link.
Send your brief
Email hello@rhinehartstudio.com with your audience, tone, 3 slogan ideas or themes, and any logo or brand colors.
Screen and design
We screen your slogans for trademarks, then make up to 3 original designs and mockups. One round of changes is included.
Store connected
We connect your print-on-demand store to a Stripe checkout and a shop page or section on your site, within 10 working days of your brief.
Sample designs
Three original typographic tees from our own merch shop, made with the same process: slogan screened for trademarks, print-ready file, then a mockup. They were written for our own audience; yours are written from your brief.

Designs and mockups by Rhinehart Studio for our own merch shop, which ships to US addresses. Shown as examples of our work, not client work.
US rules we work to
- Endorsement disclosure. If creators or influencers promote your merch in exchange for payment, free products or an affiliate commission, the FTC Endorsement Guides require that connection to be disclosed clearly, in the post or video itself (FTC: Disclosures 101). We don't write fake reviews or testimonials for your store.
- No “Made in USA” unless it's true. The FTC's Made in USA Labeling Rule requires that “all or virtually all” of a product be made in the US for an unqualified claim. Many print-on-demand blanks are made abroad, so we leave origin claims off your listings unless you can back them up (FTC: Complying with the Made in USA standard).
- Sales tax. US sales tax is handled by your storefront, print-on-demand platform or checkout (for example Stripe Tax) where it applies, using their tax settings in your accounts. Whether you need to register in a state is your decision.
- Trademarks and right of publicity. We only make original designs. We don't use other brands' names or logos, characters, lyrics, or any real person's name, image or likeness without written permission, and we screen your slogans against the USPTO trademark register first.
General information, not legal or tax advice. For your own situation, talk to a US-licensed attorney or tax professional. More in our guide: FTC rules for influencer ads, reviews and “Made in USA” claims.
FAQ
Will the merch sell?
We can't promise sales, and no one honestly can. Sales depend on your audience, your promotion and the designs. What we promise is original, print-ready designs, mockups and a working store and checkout, delivered on time.
Do I have to buy or store any stock?
No. It's print-on-demand: each item is printed and shipped by the print-on-demand provider when a customer orders, so there's no inventory to buy or hold.
Whose accounts are they?
Yours. The print-on-demand, Stripe and hosting accounts are opened in your name, you pay their fees directly, and the money from sales goes to you.
Who handles sales tax?
US sales tax is calculated and collected by your storefront, print-on-demand platform or checkout (for example Stripe Tax) where it applies, using their tax settings, which we set up in your accounts with you. Whether you need to register in a state is your decision; we can point you to the right settings, but it isn't tax advice.
Can you put a celebrity, a brand logo or a movie quote on a shirt?
No. We don't use other people's trademarks, logos, characters, song lyrics or quotes, or anyone's name, face or likeness without written permission. Using someone's identity to sell merch can breach their right of publicity under state law.
Do you check for trademarks?
Yes. Before we design, we search your slogans against the USPTO register (and the UK register). It's a screen, not a legal clearance; for a slogan you plan to build a brand on, talk to a US trademark attorney.
Can the shirts say “Made in USA”?
Only if it's true. Under the FTC's Made in USA Labeling Rule, an unqualified “Made in USA” claim means all or virtually all of the product is made in the US. Print-on-demand blanks are often made abroad, so we leave that claim off unless you can back it up.
I'm a creator. Anything to know about promoting it?
Your own merch is your own product, so say so plainly. If other creators promote it for you in exchange for payment, free items or a commission, they need to disclose that connection clearly under the FTC Endorsement Guides. See the FTC's Disclosures 101.
What if I'm not happy with the designs?
One round of design changes is included. If we don't deliver within 10 working days of receiving your brief, you get a full refund. See the terms.
Do I need a call?
No. Everything is done by email at hello@rhinehartstudio.com.
